Happy Father's Day !

In the United States, the driving force behind the establishment of the celebration of Father's Day was Mrs. Sonora Smart Dodd, born in Creston, Washington. Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart , as a single parent raised his six children in Spokane, Washington.

 Today is a celebration of all the Father's and Male guardians who help children grow up to be the best that they can be.
For me...my inspiration, drive and work ethic comes from my father Skeeter. Thanks Dad for being such a big part of my life.

PS - More reverse-charge (collect) telephone calls are made on Father's Day than on any other day!

Lizzy's 13th Birthday Party!

We had 20 something teenagers at the house the other day for Lizzy's part-ay as she would say. It seemed like everyone had a good time. We couldn't have asked for better weather. I'm sure Patty and I would have cancelled if we had to have all those kids in the house the entire day. But as it turned out they were able to play volleyball, softball, soccer and frisbee. Then we began the bbq, opened gifts, had an ice cream sundae bar and the rest of the evening was spent in the backyard around the firepit doing what teens do...you know...watching movies on their cell phones, talking, hanging out and being silly. Good times had by all.
